The film below is a clip from "The One Show" (BBC) presenting the value of reading through colour, and showing reading rulers being used in a Dyslexia Friendly Classroom. This research group, represented here by Dr Mary Fowler, specifies the use of blue and yellow tints. Another body of research, led by Professor Arnold Wilkins of Essex University, indicates that a full spectrum of colour should be made available to ensure that nobody "slips through the net". You will notice that one child on the video is using a pink reading ruler, while another child is reading through a green one… !
